PTSA
We are a small group of parents (and grandparents, aunts, uncles…) who do several
things each school year to support the students and faculty/staff/administration at our
school. We welcome all family and friends of our students to participate a lot or just a
little. You do not need to be an official member of PTA to attend meetings or
volunteer. If you support a student at DMS, you are already a part of the PTSA!
PTA becomes PTSA (Parent Teacher Student Association) in Middle School and High
School as the students are older and able to be involved in planning PTA activities.
PTSA in Middle School is much more “laid back” than what you may be used to in
elementary school settings. There are no more classroom parties and giant fundraisers.
Our goal is to focus on “what matters most”; just a few events to support students and
staff each year. Some are planned by PTSA, some are school events that we join in and
support.
PTA meetings are held on the 1st Thursday of each month at 2 p.m. at Dixie Middle School. Please check in at the front office for the location.
